Internet Technologies Angola (ITA), LDA was registered through ANIP in 2005. The directors of the company had all been living in Angola since 2003 and had an in depth knowledge of the Telecommunication, Internet, Systems and IT hardware and software markets in Luanda and the rest of the country. Today the company has grown to over 30 staff members.

In late 2005, ITA played an instrumental part in the set up of MAXNET (Angola’s first Wimax Internet Backbone). ITA was responsible for the technical roll out, managed the backbone; played a major part in developing the ISP’s products and sold many of the ISPs solutions to its growing list of customers in Luanda and nationally.

The Internet Service Provider (ISP) has been licensed by the regulator to operate a wireless backbone in the licensed 3.5GHz frequency band. The network was also the first WiMAX ready network in Luanda.
